Augmented low-bypass turbofan
An augmented low-bypass turbofan, the size and shape of an F110-GE-129. Air entering the fan is split: about four parts in seven go through the core to be compressed, burnt and expanded through the turbines, and the rest bypasses it to be mixed back in at the tail. The afterburner injects fuel into that mixed stream and burns it again, which is why the nozzle has to open as it lights. Every blade here is an individually lofted aerofoil, and the whole engine is generated from one specification file.
